Hi I’m a 18yro lead guitarist looking to start a rock/metal band of an original style/genre, I also am able to perform vocally to an extent too. I don’t have much knowledge on melodic theory, although I know a lot about rhythmic theory as Ive been playing drums for around 8-9 years (with private lessons). My play style is heavily based on riffs; advanced metal or basic, and soloing (in the style of zakk wylde/dimebag e.t.c…). I also play some acoustic guitar; chords, vocals and very basic solos. This is not as strong as my electric guitar though. I am able to write riffs and solos and lyrics/vocal lines. And vocals over basic chords/riffs on the acoustic guitar. I am very dedicated, and am looking to write some music, play gigs regularly e.t.c…
The music I’m into is anything from classic rock through to heavy metal:GnR, Skid row, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Motley crue, Motorhead, Metallica, Lamb of god, BLS, Black Sabbath, Deep purple, Judas Priest, Alterbridge,Disturbed, Slipknot, Led Zeppelin… the list goes on…
