Worship band wanted for wedding in December

We are a couple looking for a christian worship band for our wedding ceremony in December. This is taking place near Cambridge on 17-12-12 (it is a Monday). We’d like to hear from any bands (or perhaps duos!) who could do this for us.

  1. Hi Marilyn!

We would be certainly available as a duo if not a full band, if you were happy to have us! We did a wedding as a duo (it was on a Thursday) a couple of weeks ago in Surrey (via lastminutemusicians.com). We are awaiting video footage to add to our portfolio but to encourage, here is Elizabeth Akrofi-Assem’s testimonial about us:
“Finding good Christian musicians at a good rate, for my wedding, proved to almost be a mission impossible… Just when I was giving up hope at 3am, I was exhausted and let up a prayer “Father, I just want to find a band or music group who will help us give you the praise you deserve on our wedding day. You know what our means are and you know how important this is to me, so please just help me find the right ones”. I put my head on my laptop for a brief doze and woke up to continue searching. I didn’t have to look long before I came across a music website I must have previously missed during my search! My eyes were drawn to a band called Tall Trees Rising. I quickly went to their website and read what they were about, and started to get excited! I knew in me that this was no coincidence. I emailed them via the website…

“It wasn’t long before I got to speak with Tracey, lead singer of the band. She was so lovely and it felt like I was talking to a friend. My spirit felt peaceful and I knew God had led me to the right people. We spent quite a few calls, emails and texts after that firming up details and costs. Tracey acted with complete integrity and honesty. She was very thorough when it came to providing me with equipment details so that I could coordinate them with our church, which they appreciated greatly. On the day, Tall Trees Rising performed wonderfully! The sound was intimate, a 2-piece acoustic (not the full band on this occasion), alternative, beautiful and joyful.

“Being African, all my guests would have expected me to have chosen a gospel group and to be honest, this is what I sought out to do, but I’m so glad I followed God’s leading and went with Tall Trees. It was fantastic to finally meet Tracey on the day, as we’d built up such good rapport over the phone. Guests commented on the beauty of the worship and my good friend who sang my wedding march, (Song Birds by Eva Cassidy) accompanied by Tracey on acoustic guitar, told me Tracey was brilliant to work with and was a great help at calming her nerves! Tracey’s warmth of spirit is one of the things I like most about her and of course she can sing! Her husband who was on percussion was seamless in his performance. I was very happy with how they performed my song choices and I intend to go see them perform when I can. I have been truly blessed to have them as part of our wedding day and Tracey as a cherished sister in Christ. Truly gifted, truly blessed, truly spirit inspired worship! Thank you so much Tall Trees Rising!”
Her email is elizabeth.otoo@gmail.com if you wish to speak to her, otherwise, I hope to hear from you!

    Love Tracey
