JAZZ DRUMMER WANTED!
We are looking for a quality and reliable drummer. One of the top big bands in the South West. The Deane Big Band is based in Taunton and plays in and around Somerset and Devon. The band plays music mostly from the classic big band era of the 1930’s and 1940’s. We regularly include music by Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Benny Goodman, and Duke Ellington. We have two great vocalists and we also feature many songs made popular by Frank Sinatra or recently recorded by Michael Buble. The vacancy also includes a position in our Alter-ego band Def. Tone 17 which includes classic tunes from Charles Mingus and Weather Report amongst others.
YOU NEED TO BE:
A great drummer who can keep constant tempo.
A drummer with the ability to read drum score
A confident performer able to drive the rhythm section of a big band
Available to gig around 12 times a year and rehearse every week if required
Somebody with their own transport and kit
Any Age
