New 90s Britpop touring show seeks bass, keys and drums/percussion

Creative producer seeking cast/band members for a new touring show (theatres, touring venues, festivals, corporate events) based in Milton Keynes/Bedfordshire.

The show has a 90s Britpop soundtrack, though with a bigger and more theatrical sound more akin to 80s glam metal, and is loosely based on updating the 1954 classic sci-fi movie ‘The Devil Girl From Mars’. The show will premiere in its theatre format at England’s biggest arts festival (May 2016), and has corporate dates in the diary, plus bookings in some of the UK’s best touring venues, for late 2016 already.

All roles are required to portray a character on stage, which may include delivering a few lines and following basic choreography; full training and support provided if you’ve never acted or danced before.

Drummer will also be required to deliver a ‘Stomp’ style solo as part of the show, so confidence and ability to perform flips, twirls, etc, with sticks is necessary.

You will need to have your own transport and pro equipment. Intensive rehearsals for May premiere will be on Sundays near Junction 13 of the M1, so please consider your availability before applying as timescales are short; aim is to perform an average of two shows per month on an ongoing basis from end of Year One and into Year Two, so may suit someone with a day job.
