Hi there, my name is John and I am currently looking for a professional rock singer to complete the lineup of MYRIAD; a unique heavy metal band from mid-Cornwall.
We have a refined 10 track album just waiting for a powerful voice to establish the sound. Our influences range from groove-laden rock such as Alter Bridge and Shinedown, through metalcore like Killswitch Engage and Shadows Fall, to the modern progressive stylings of Karnivool, Tool, and Opeth.
In a vocalist we require a high calibre of professionalism and ability. This means having confidence enough to feel completely at ease in a live setting, writing lyrics to a high degree of articulation and eloquence, being able to compose and deliver vocal lines with passion and character, and having a wide range of pitch (octaves) and dynamics (soft, quiet, harsh, loud). Having a basic awareness of a mixing desk in order to EQ your voice in rehearsals would also be useful, but is not a requirement. No further requirement for equipment, just strong vocal talent and confidence. Confidence is key!
We would ask that any person who is interested please send us an example of your singing voice(s). This can be in the form of material from other bands you have worked with/projects you have sang in, such as Soundcloud or YouTube audio/video, or homemade video of yourself singing along to some tunes.
We are only interested in pursuing people who we have heard and can mutually agree on, this will save both parties from wasting their time from experience!
