Hi there, I am posting on this page as I am putting on a charity event at The Marquis of Granby in Epsom for the Macmillan Cancer Charity. The genres of music I want for the event are Jazz, Blues, Funk and Soul, if you are a band that plays a multitude of these genres then I’m happy for that too.

It will take place on April 15th starting from 3pm and going on into the evening, how late will depend on how many bands I can get booked but the headline set will start at around 10:00pm. Each set will be 45 mins long, but this can be changed slightly if need be.

I am going to go for a chilled festival vibe for this event, so it will be in our car park at the back of the pub, where we will have a BBQ, an outside bar, some stalls to aid in raising money for charity and during the day the event will be child friendly and there will be some child friendly activities to do also.

The stage will be kitted out with a stage along with sound equipment including a PA. We also have a 5-piece drum kit so drummers just bring any extras that you want to use. There will also be somewhere to keep your equipment and protect it from any unwanted weather.

Unfortunately, due to this event being a charity gig I am unable to pay any of the bands that play but I CAN provide you with food, drink (some beers or something of the like will be included in this) and I CAN also pay for travel expenses so it will at least cost you nothing to get to The Marquis and back.

If this is something any of you would be interested in or you have further questions, then please email me on enquiry@themarquisofgranbyepsom.co.uk or message The Marquis of Granby Epsom (https://www.facebook.com/themarquisofgranbyepsom/?rf=148788821827753) on Facebook. If you play this event you can bring up to 5 people free of charge but any more than that will have to pay £5 per person.

If you want an idea of what the event will look like then please take a look at The Marquis of Granby’s Facebook page to find a similar event I put on last September in which we raised £1600 for charity.

Thanks very much for taking the time to read this guys and I hope to hear from a number of you very soon.

Phil
