“Don’t Fear the Cowbell” are a 1970s hard/heavy rock cover band from Telford, Shropshire, and are currently searching for a new vocalist.
Age and sex isn’t a factor, as the four of us are in our 30s, 40s and 50s. All we’re asking for is someone with an appreciation of the music we’re covering, dedication, a good vocal range, reliability and the ability to have a laugh during practice sessions. Being able to play guitar would be handy, but isn’t a necessity.
We have our own rehearsal place, complete with our gear, stage, P.A., drum riser, etc. But be warned, we’re stupidly loud! Musically we’re tight and ready to gig once the right person is settled and ready to go. There is plenty of interest locally for gigs.
A few of the bands we cover include: Queen, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, King Crimson, Jethro Tull, Led Zeppelin, James Gang, Santana, T-Rex, Thin Lizzy, Nazareth, Yes, Pink Floyd, Toto, Boston, etc.
