Fiddle player wanted for a ‘Celtic Punk’ band (part of the Dropkick Murphys / Flogging Molly scene) :
we fuse the swirl of Traditional Irish music with the electric energy of Punk Rock & kinda sound like The Pogues being backed by The Clash. – It’s fun!
We need someone who’s a capable, dynamic player, with a good ear & is a sympathetic accompanist. + confidence, a wee bit of flair & a some stage presence would be handy!
Ability, commitment, a bit of flexibility time-wise, & passport are essential (we’re not the biggest band in the world, but we’ve got about a good bit & intend to do more of the same: so far this year, as well as in the UK, we’ve already got festivals booked taking us back to Scotland, France & Germany…
And no bread-heads, blaggers, jobbing musos or bollixes – we need a solid team player that can get along with everyone : someone that gets what we do, is into it, can get the gigs done in right & proper order & have the craic afterwards. 😉
