An accomplished, experienced DRUMMER is needed NOW to complete a new, Essex-based BLUES band looking to a wide BLUES repertoire.
The full (i.e. 5-piece) band line-up is to be: vocals/harmonica, lead/slide guitar, rhythm guitar, upright/electric bass and drums.
The players are all of a seriously good standard and have already drawn plaudits from highly-respected sources.
Material is taken from the songbooks of Chicago Blues artists such as Buddy Guy/Junior Wells, Little Walter, Muddy Waters, Sonny Boy Williamson, Howlin’ Wolf, John Lee Hooker etc.
What we absolutely do NOT need is a drummer who loves to play deafeningly loud and heavy, as the material will be delivered as authentically as we can. If anything, we need a drummer with a good appreciation of ‘light and shade’ dynamics and who knows how to use brushes on the occasional number or two!
