Flute and Bass Clarinet (doubling Bb clarinet) wanted to act and play in new opera.

Flute and Bass Clarinet (doubling Bb clarinet) wanted to act and play in new opera.
I’m the composer of a new opera for Bury Court called Mad King Suibhne. Two of the roles in the opera are played by instrumentalists, the bird by a flautist (who we would like to be more physical, active and playful) and the stag by a bass clarinet (who is more peaceful and calm as a character). It’s chamber opera in seven scenes, about 1:15 minutes long and has six singers. The bird and the stag are onstage for three of the seven scenes (scenes 1, 5 and 7), with the stag making two very short appearances in two more of the scenes. When they are not on stage playing their role, they are in the pit playing with the band (with bass clarinet doubling clarinet). The role will consist of movement (not dance) and acting. We are interested in musicians and players who would be excited by the idea of movement, acting and creating a character (rather than dancers who play).
There is a link to the vocal score here so you can see the onstage part for singers, bird and stag with piano (there will also be a band part eventually that includes your off-stage music); https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B7Dx7XkGeSe1eGQzblpCVU05WE0?usp=sharing
The vocal score part above would need to be memorised and rehearsed in staging rehearsals (mostly off copy for the first rehearsal). As you can see from the part, I write music that is lyrical, and isn’t too difficult to memorise. You can also hear this from two recordings I made of the opera here;
