We are Shades of Vinyl, a band of four senior musicians playing REAL old-time rock ‘n’ roll and country, singing in three- and four-part harmonies. (A list of country and rock ‘n’ roll song examples is below.)
I myself β bass guitar, keyboards, backing & harmony and some lead vocals, composer β am living in Esher, Surrey. I am in my sixties, and also the other members (lead singer, rhythm guitarist, drummer) of the band are great, mature citizens. We all are very friendly, nice and funny guys. We are a happy band.
Now we need a LEAD GUITARIST. If interested in playing rock ‘n’ roll and country with us, please kindly send me a private message or post a reply. We are practising once a week, mostly in Esher, Surrey.
To make it clear: We have chosen our style and are glad to stick to it. We play traditional rock ‘n’ roll and country songs with harmonies. Nothing else. Everyone (including me) has his (her) favourite pieces of music of other styles, but this band will not play them.
Come and join us. We are having great fun!
Thanks so much for reading. Enjoy your day β and don’t forget to smile. π
