MUSICIANS WANTED – JOIN ME ON A NEW CHICAGO BLUES BAND JOURNEY! (Essex/Herts/Kent)

I’m looking to assemble a really tight, pro-standard band producing an authentic 1950’s/1960’s amplified CHICAGO BLUES sound. When the band is in place I will arrange professional representation.

I’m a very committed, sociable, experienced Blues vocalist and diatonic/chromatic harmonica player with high-profile gig exposure.  Based in mid-Essex, I’m itching to collaborate with:

– GUITARIST (to share lead/rhythm duties with an ex-pro guitarist);
– DOUBLE BASS PLAYER who also plays ELECTRIC BASS;
– DRUMMER;
– PIANIST/HAMMOND player

The new band will likely draw much of its material from the songbooks of legends such as Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Howlin’ Wolf, Sonny Boy Williamson II, John Lee Hooker, Junior Wells/Buddy Guy etc. etc.

Would you get a real kick out of playing in a well presented and tight outfit dishing up a vintage Chicago Blues sound, rather than the heavy ‘white boy’ rock variety?

You’ll need to offer commitment to initially rehearse weekly (evenings or weekends t.b.c.) in CHELMSFORD in pulling sets together and then to gig as soon as possible.

Good work opportunities are likely, so reasonable availability and flexibility is of course also essential.

Please call or text me on 07885 858158 for much more info

Cheers, JM
